For the most part, it seems like a waste of time and money. For some reason, people seem to want to hire people with degrees--but if they were to stop, would college have any value?

The point is to select people who had the opportunity to go to college. The college itself isn't important.

In a perfect world, people would be hired by skills, knowledge and competence alone. Unfortunately, in this world, you need a college degree for a decent job...:(
