Will the zoo animals be scared when the zoos reopen?

They're not used to seeing so many visitors now, and they don't even remember seeing masked people.

Most of them will be curious but not scared. Masks don't cover eyes.

Some of them see eye contact as a threat. Won't masks make that even scarier?

I don't think that they will be scared because they were seeing the zookeepers the entire time.

The zookeepers are familiar. Visitors are not.
