So what's wrong with being a farmer or a bartender anyway?

Mr. Carter,
Wadda you want, from meeeee?
You’re a farmer
The tone kind of implies that there's something wrong with being a farmer. Many now are calling AOC a "bartender" as an insult, which makes no sense either. It can be argued that the world would be a better place if she were still a bartender, but there is nothing wrong with honest work. It would make more sense to insult a bartender by calling him or her a politician.

I agree. It implies an agreement with classism which isn't our hashkafa. Any kosher employment is ok. Nothing wrong with being a plumber, baker, or barber either.

The song is an expression of the resentment felt by the people who had voted for someone and then seen his true colors. The exact words might not be so correct, but the song accomplished its goal of letting out the feelings of many people.

But how were the feelings received?

In all likelihood, Mr Carter never heard the song.

Would he have told anyone if he did?
