Why did Chrome remove the "mute tab" feature?

It was replaced with "mute site". I have preferred muting a website instead of a tab exactly zero times.

But now I can't mute one out of multiple tabs from the same website.

Also, you can't mute a tab that you're using to go to multiple sites (to prevent it from producing unwanted audio by auto-playing videos).

Other browsers do still have "mute tab".

I like Firefox because it has an official extension that gives you containers.
