Electric guitar strings on acoustic

The other way around doesn't work, of course, because bronze doesn't work with the magnetic pickups. But is there any real reason not to use electric strings on an acoustic guitar (other than personal preference)?

You don't get the same acoustic feel that you get when you use strings made for acoustic guitars. At the same time, you don't really get the electric guitar sound. You can't do the same articulations as on a real electric. I would recommend using acoustic guitar strings on your acoustic. If the ones you have are too hard to play, try getting some extra light ones. That way you can play more easily while keeping your acoustic guitar acoustic.

It's still an acoustic guitar. If it's not an electric sound and not an acoustic sound, that means it's a whole new sound! Mine's even more unique because I popped half the strings! (Not buying that off brand again!)
