Am I allowed to have a death wish on the yellow jacket that kept on getting right near me?

I would like to give a shout out to the yellow jacket that went right into the honey dish, got stuck in the honey, yet somehow managed to crawl out, but then couldn't fly because its feet were too sticky, so it walked around for a while on the tablecloth until its feet were clean enough not to hold it down.

Maybe the decorations should be peppermint scented.

Bees and yellow jackets both love to be in the sukkah. I almost feel bad getting rid of them too, because we chase them out on the mere suspicion that they might sting, and they look like they're enjoying themselves so much flying to all the different decorations and exploring the tablecloth.

But if you're looking to be practical, with both, you should look around to see if there is a hive or a nest nearby, but you should treat them very differently. If you find a beehive nearby, unless it already belongs to you or a neighbor, you can often find a beekeeper who will take the bees. But nobody wants yellow jackets, so the only practical option to get rid of them is to kill them. You can buy a yellow jacket exterminating kit or call a professional pest control service.

You just don't invite them.

Make sure to remove honey from the sukkah as soon as possible.

I think they're attracted to the decorations and wine or grape juice.

Making the sukkah smell like peppermint is supposed to help keep bees away.

Also wasps and other stinging insects.
