Microwave ovens are safe

I saw a letter in a newspaper a while ago warning people not to use microwave ovens because radiation. It's a radio in a box. If the non-ionizing radiation that escapes is not enough to do to you what it does to the food in the oven, it's not that different from the heat that escapes from an oven that is set to a temperature that can burn a person.

I agree. I had a funny experience this week where someone used a microwave for their very first time in my house. They were marveling at how fast their food warmed up.
